Huishan ZhangHuishan Zhang was born in Qin Dao, China, and attended Central Saint Martins in London. During his time studying, he worked for a year at Dior, including six months in the couture atelier. He founded his label upon graduation in London in 2010 and has been making waves in the fashion industry ever since.
In May 2012, his original couture dress “Dragon” was collected by the V&A as a permanent piece, making him the first Chinese contemporary fashion designer to receive this honor. His designs are feminine, modern and a combination of his Chinese heritage and western techniques. His collection has been picked up by U.S famous retailers Barneys New York, Opening Ceremony and Bergdorf Goodman. |
